Location

The apartment is situated in the quieter Faubourg part of town, yet it is still within ten minutes’ walk along the sea front and palace wall to the main town itself. The sandy Faubourg beach, the largest of the four beaches in Collioure, can be quickly reached within two minutes of leaving the apartment. There is also a play park for children at the end of this beach.

The apartment is perfectly located for shops and amenities. Just at the end of the road, on the promenade, are an excellent artisan bread shop, a delicatessen selling regional delicacies and a small grocer’s. Less than ten minutes’ walk, there is an amazing patisserie and well stocked Carrefour supermarket. At the top of our road, we also have a wine co-operative in the old Dominican church, adjacent to the town art gallery, and there are short walks up to the olive oil-producing windmill which overlooks the town.

When it comes to dining out, we are really spoilt for choice. There is a variety of good restaurants and cafes nearby, many with breathtaking views of the Castle, old port and sea of course. For the gourmet, the Michelin starred Le Relais Trois Mas restaurant is just 5 minutes stroll along the front.

Our street is on the route of the old river Coma Cheric which came off the mountain. Looking to the right from the juliet balcony, you can see fields of olive groves and vineyards heading out of the village. The map shows the location of Rue Coma Cheric where the Apartment is located.
